Yup. Cineplex (Canadian chain); it's called VIP, is 19+ only and *generally* shows R-rated stuff; but it does get the occasional PG/PG13 movies.

This year alone, it's had the live action How To Train Your Dragon, Downtown Abbey, MI: Final Reckoning, Superman, Wicked: For Good and Zootopia 2.

Stuff like the Chicken Jockey thing is the main reason I pretty much only see movies in the 19+ only section of my theater now (rare exceptions are made for limited releases.

Tickets cost more, yes...but it's worth it: no loud, obnoxious children, comfier seats and in-seat service for food.

Well, that and car ads.

I somehow get the feeling this dude would walk out of "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" or "Thelma and Louise," muttering about "well, we don't see them die, so what happened?"

I was lucky enough to catch HDGTM's live show in Toronto back in May. Absolutely hilarious; 100% recommend catching one if you get a chance in the future.

I'm a bit behind on Stories That Stick, but you're still my Top 5.

$1000 says the OP is actually celiac, but thinks that's one of those "fake diagnoses" that "didn't exist back in my day."

And then decided to instead claim the fact wheat is genetically modified is the *actual* reason they can't eat it.

*sees "Steelers" trending*
*sees this post*

I've always maintained they should've turfed Ben and began to restructure when Polamalu retired. Though it's somehow reassuring to know that they're still floundering.

It's nice to have some consistency in my life.

Same.

Like, I love Billy West. And I particularly love him for tweaking his voice to sound like Hartman as a tribute, but I'd have loved see (hear?) his version.
November 28, 2025 at 9:57 PM
Hartman was amazing.

I cannot get through the season 5 premiere of "NewsRadio" without bawling my eyes out.
November 28, 2025 at 9:56 PM
No, no, you don't understand.

When *he* does it, it's a "loving tribute." When anyone else does it, it's "ripping off."

(Do I need the "/s" for sarcasm here? I'm too cold and tired to risk spiraling into an argument).

3 showings of "Elf."
2 showings each of "Arthur Christmas" and the Illumination version the Grinch.
And not a single showing "Die Hard."

This dude: saw Walton Goggins have perfect teeth as an ex-Confederate soldier in "The Hateful Eight."

Also this dude: doesn't know Goggins' teeth look perfect because his upper front teeth are fake.

Figure YT is easiest. Dunno what platform you use for podcasts.

Have you listened to the podcast he's doing with Nathan Fillion yet?

Just started a couple weeks ago; it's called "Once We Were Spacemen."

From what I understand, these people tend to believe all cis women have petite figures. And all men have an extra rib and prominent Adam's apples.

I actually had this year's commercial as a pre-show ad when I saw "The Running Man" last night.

And sweet tapdancing Christ, does it look even worse on a big screen.

...this may actually beat out Stephen King's salmon Tweet for "thanks, but no."

Actually, no. King still wins because yours doesn't make my microwave stink of fish.
