In the spirit of learning in public, I’m kicking off some experiments I’ve tried this last quarter.

Stay tuned! I want to include the messier in-progress versions too.
Learning the history of how the internet developed reminds me that the way our tech works is not inevitable and involves a complex human-driven process.
I put together a timeline of domain history from DNS to 2026 gTLDs. Inspired by @deno.land's Brief History of JS and @neal.fun's Internet Artifacts (which is amazing if you haven't read through it before!)

💥 did a small drawing explaining the JS execution model including the event loop. I hope it’s helpful to folks. Debugging is always easier when the underlying implementations are understood.

Moving my Gatsby site to @astro.build has been pretty smooth so far, except for one thing: blog images! So I asked my buddy @jason.energy for help, since we worked together when I built the original site. We're going to stream a work session next Thursday, 10/9 on @codetv.dev at 9:30am Pacific!

Such an interesting way to share a novel.

I wish I could be into this genre right now but I just can’t.

Experiment: Can I help people lost on how to begin deploying when there are so many starting points?

At first, I made a flow chart showing all the ways to accomplish the same thing.

📝

Then I built an interactive navigator docs component using the flowchart, our design system, & Claude Code.

What if we could prompt better thinking & strategy with good questions and writing or drawing by hand?

I drafted this mini zine to help me do that.

Sharing in case it actually helps me call it finished enough one day.

I think version 2 needs to be bigger so there’s more space for analog wonder.
