Author. Forlorn Harbor to be published by Rowan Prose in 2026. Husband, father, cat-herder. Catholic. Love to read & write and inspire others.
I review Beka Gremikova's The Edge of a Knife and Other Stories. This is a engrossing collection of dark-night-of-the-soul type of novellas and short stories.

This debut novel by Rikki Goodwin features few characters, an atmospheric setting, and enough haunted house scenes to rattle a ouija board.
The creepiness factor is high in this delightful novel. Goodwin writes stories that will keep readers awake at night.

Another first line from Once Bitten, a newly published vampire anthology. In this story, we see history in a brand new light because of Dracula's meddling.

Once Bitten - an anthology of all things Dracula and his kind - is here and in the wild. Rush to your favorite bookselling site to order your copy!

My story concerns a kidnapper who may have bitten off more than she can chew when she abducts a vampire. But she has secrets, too.

Do you want humor and romance with your vampire story? This two-author, two-character entry in Once Bitten is a highly amusing take on modern dating in the bloodsucking world. Read Love Sucks by Rosemarie DiCristo and Pam Halter.

Once Bitten releases on Oct. 15.

I'm showing first lines from a Dracula anthology publishing on Wednesday. I have a story in it. The following is from Jessica Tanner's story. She has been a tremendous help building the advertising around this collection. She created this graphic and one for each author included. I'll post more.

I'm honored my story, Wildlife Rescue, will be included in the next Havok anthology. I'm excited to be included with authors I admire.
This story exists in my DEED world/novel but can be read independently of the book. However, if you read DEED, you'll be familiar with the characters and the world.

If you head over to Amazon, you may pre-order the softbound version of this Dracula anthology to be released on October 15 at a discount. I'll keep posting about it, but it has some very entertaining and unusual stories. This is a great Halloween read.

I review @michelletang.bsky.social 's DuMort. Beautiful yet bizarre, gentle yet harsh, this novel is a riveting journey of horror and fascination. It evokes the suspense of similar novels in the genre, but in a refreshing style all its own.

Review of A Blood Habit by Eleanor Bourg Nicholson. From the review: A Bloody Habit is an exciting read that pairs dance partners of vampires and moral lessons. If you’re tired of blood diseases and sullen vampires, you’ll enjoy this gem of a novel.
