ive been hemming and hawing about this for years and years and had a few false starts when life kicked me in the balls right when i got something going, but i just keep coming back to it

my ultimate goal is to build a big library of LPs on YT that i can share with friends & do some goofin around with viewer input along the way, tho i've more or less rid myself of illusions of ever "making it" as a streamer / LPer in a flooded market... just can't shake the compulsion to do it anyway

so now i'm back to being like eh whatever i should just stream for the fun of it cause i think about doing it so often just as a way to do more voice acting & actually play games, could make a patreon tipjar or something so ppl just dont have to deal with ads at all, sub or not

but i only just realized a) they lowered it to 25 follows to get affiliate, and b) i was under the impression that you could turn off ads entirely and just let ppl sub for funsies, didn't know twitch will run ads on your channel no matter what you choose if you're affiliate(?)

i've been wistfully thinking about streaming a lot again lately, been holding off cause i couldn't justify it to myself if it wasn't monetized, asked around for a few follows to get over 50
