Final guest lecture from visiting @UofT_Sociology student Yuxuan Gu research on gender violence in 🇨🇳 China. Her study shows women’s empowerment initially increased male backlash and violence, but this tapered off over time. Eye-opening findings on progress and resistance!

Got some new books! I know the fact checking one seems weird but academics/journalists were discussing how comparatively fact checking is much more rigorous and a honed skill in journalism. Seems increasingly important to get things right!
