Bringing the practice…before coming to present here in SC, I reached out to the local Indigenous people, the Waccamaw through their website form to see if they had a particular land acknowledgment protocol. I didn’t hear back & it was clear on my first day of the conference…

Attended some great sessions on #privacy to expand my limited experience w/ #FERPA & #COPPA —despite some key nuances, #BCFIPPA ,data minimization, security & safety of PII very similar. Increasing acceleration of #technology advances in the last 20 years have strained traditional practices & approaches to #education #policy —which, by nature of the institution is conservative when it comes to change & is not accustomed to dynamic orientations to policy-making. #EduSky #AIEd

When in the #EdTech field— especially around #AIEd —it is important to have some familiarity with what is happening not only in your own —or nearby—jurisdiction—as well as your national landscape—but leaders should also be intentionally scanning the broader international landscape. #EduSky #BCEd
