I suspect the RTO-shaped middle finger from the beancounters in charge of these giant companies has driven out a lot of the best staff

Trump campaigned on “we’re going to build the wall” the first time and nothing really came of it. So it’s not that hard to see how some people could handwave “mass deportation now” as little more than campaign bluster and make their decision on other factors.

It’s not giving normie republicans a pass to say some people who foolishly voted Trump didn’t and don’t have mass deportations as their top priority. It’s simply the reality that some people were voting based on other priorities.

I think you’re reading in motivations that aren’t there. The point of the episode is to discuss the fracturing MAGA coalition and doing that means examining the different mindsets, motivations, and priorities of various subgroups.

Gay marriage and gay rights broadly have much greater support today than they did even 15 years ago thanks to many moderates and conservatives evolving their views. Shaming people for having bad opinions in the past doesn’t help win more people over to the good side.

This is a very “how do you do, fellow kids” outfit

I fundamentally disagree. Nobody should be murdered for speech. And millions of people seeing him get his neck exploded by a vigilante just makes his side seem justified in cracking down on opposition.

Both killings were terrible, but I think it’s a bit disingenuous to treat these incidents as comparable. Hortmann got less attention in part because she was not a national figure with millions of followers nor was there video of her death from a dozen angles immediately circulating on social media.

Wow, you’re right. Maybe lets all just kill each other and see if that solves our problems.

The point is we shouldn’t solve political disagreements with violence in this country. His specific beliefs are not a justification for this act.

IANAL but this seems like something they would want as a pretext if their goal was to incarcerate a lot of poorer people, e.g. immigrants and homeless.

I like the part where she gets knocked up by future husband 3 while married to husband 1. But instead of directly getting with her new baby daddy, she marries some other random guy as husband 2 instead.

He’s trying to seed a narrative that the future hospital closure is the Democrat governor’s fault and not the Republican Congress’s fault. He will say “the Democrat governor refused to save it” or something.

It probably actually is hard to afford childcare on that salary in a coastal city. I pay $2800/month for one toddler.

Schumer is busy with his book tour

What I find so funny about this is the entire reason tax cuts are going to expire is how they engineered things during Trump’s first term expecting him to win a second term and be out of office by now. They played themselves because they thought it would be somebody else’s problem.

Biden world should be blacklisted. The people who led us here shouldn’t continue leading anything.
