waiting for ligations to ligate and just acquired some marchantia liverwort starts from a neighboring lab. look at these tiny babies! 🥰 i made them a little greenhouse so here’s to hoping they stay alive. thank you @rhcalderon.bsky.social lab!

my barn nest’s baby birbs all fledged today 🥲 this little guy got caught up in a cobweb so i had to help him get outside. such tiny anger

a mere three weeks later and i am beginning to see callus forming on some of my yangmei leaf bits! 🤩 (it’s the weird bumpy whiteish stuff distorting the leaf). it’s basically a mass of undifferentiated cells that don’t know what their job is yet. soon i will try to convince them to grow new shoots 😁

our biology greenhouse has two (!) devil’s tongue mini corpse flowers (amorphophallus konjac) in bloom right now! they’re so cute compared to the giant corpse flower that bloomed last year 🤩🤩
