This is from Delian Tomb. Follow up from previous post about printing columns for my #drawsteel game. Turns out that in #dungeonblocks 3 stairs equals about 2 squares. I added broken columns to hint that the columns are breakable since the players have not caught onto that as a tactic yet.

Using #dungeonblocks for my #drawsteel Delian Tomb adventure. Needed to have a room with a balcony, and found that the default columns are too high. So i tossed the stl into meshmixer, cut it up and shrank it down. Now building enough for the room.

Working on 3d printing pawn stands for #drawsteel. Why is this specially made for draw steel? You can print them in any color for easy grouping. I had made rings that worked on pawn bases. But this has more color real estate. It also has a place for a magnet to allow for the use of condition discs

So similar to me. I used TitanCraft to make custom 3d printed PC, and use 2d pawns for the NPCs.
Also in the Delian Tomb first encounter but Lvl 2.
This was also their first session with Level 2 PCs the censor was the only PC to get to dying.

Players surprised me with a bypass into level two in The Delian Tomb. Apparently they don’t need no stinking keys

Family game of #drawsteel part 2 of Delian Tomb (side quest involving the tower). The players were all down to about 2-3 recoveries but pushed on. I gave them all a hero token for putting their lives on the line to save the hostage and that helped when the baddy rolled nat 20 in the first turn.

Oh one hero did get back slapped onto the stairs and plummeted 5 squares down to the floor below. But they managed to get back up and was the one who finished the fight.

Prepping for my family #DrawSteel game tomorrow. Had a last minute idea to make a simple lazy Susan for the Delian Tomb level. I had to go with a rectangular tower instead of circular due to building blocks i use. Not perfect but it should work.

I’m all in for Draw Steel at the moment, but how was it to write for two apparently two very different systems? I played the road to Broadhurst a few weeks ago to introduce draw steel to two new players. They had a blast.

Me and my wife’s favorite Draw steel accessory. A score keeper. I rearranged them from this image to be blue, red, blue, red. For montages. One indicates target successes and max fails, the other is the group’s status.

Tinkering around with my wife’s #drawsteel character sheet layout. Basically a three ring binder page 1-2 on the left and right when opened, the abilities cards on the following pages. Color coding to link them together (yellow =main actions, orange = HR ability, green = maneuver, pink = trigger)

Going back to the 4e techniques for mini and condition management. Glued small washers to the base my pawn bases. Can track marked monsters, captains, etc. still using the 3d printed ring to keep track of monster groups. #drawsteel

#drawsteel I normally try to stay as immersive as possible. Just describing the environment and what they are seeing. This time after doing that, I stopped and pulled back the curtain on this encounter. I explained that this was not a kill all the monsters encounter but it had a specific story goal

About maps. Imho make one high detail map, scale it down for the main book and pdf. Then offer the high detailed one for download on drivethruRPG.
I love the large maps of draw steel, though it made me print out a lot pieces!! Totally worth it.
