this isn't political analysis, it's just shouting buzzwords to get a cheap pop from cable news guests
does paul begala think that giving quotes characterizing another democrat like this *helps* the democratic party?

the "wild conspiracy theory" is just an accurate description of what happened
I don't understand why people have to concoct wild conspiracy theories in order to critique the NYT. I say this as someone who writes for them: there is plenty to critique without making up wild scenarios and insisting they're true!

I think the main issue is that it's felt like an iterative step rather than something new, and although there are a ton of great games for it, there's no generational gap, nothing you can say makes a PS5 game as opposed to an upscaled PS4 game
Whenever I chat to anyone about the PS5's life so far, am I typically met with a waft of lukewarm praise or shrug of plain ambivalence? Why hasn't it captivated people - at least me - in the way the PS4 did? https://bit.ly/3LCEQZu

also: elite reporters handle criticism from the right better than criticism from the left for two reasons:

1) they know and like the right-wingers
2) left-wing criticism focuses on competence, and right-wing criticism focuses on ideology

1) terrible rebranding
2) it's jack dorsey, so his ideal version of the platform is people saying the 14 words as fast as possible

Maybe the worst part of NYT brain is this tortured method of explaining why publishing a neo-Nazi's nothingburger hacked documents is correct, but a sex trafficker telling people the sitting president of the united states loves sex trafficking only becomes newsworthy when it's revealed the right way
The emails that you’re seeing now are news in themselves, but that’s because of how they’re coming out—a congressional committee released them—& the context in which they’re being viewed. A guy emailing a reporter talking about old girlfriends or saying someone is “dirty” is not a whole news story.
November 13, 2025 at 6:20 PM
And I think the blinkered view they have of the paper makes them inconstitutionally capable of facing this - criticism from the right must be met by ever more solicitous coverage, while criticism from the left is just Blueskyism
I think there are a number of people employed at the New York Times -- certainly not all of them, but many! -- who simply do not grasp how badly the paper's credibility has been shaken over the past few years, along several different axes, and for multiple different reasons

it's been hard to put this feeling into words, but we've spent the past couple of decades being lectured to and patronized by an elite class that spent its free time joshing with jeffrey epstein about his little sex abuse empire while lecturing us about how out of touch we are

I love that we barely have reporters covering local news any more, but we can pay people hundreds of thousands of dollars to generate daily analysis about narratives about whether something is news

NYT: but her emails
Landon Thomas Jr of the New York Times got told by Jeffrey Epstein that Trump walked into a glass door bc he was so busy staring at girls in Epstein's house and didn't print it. wild that the Times didn't consider that newsworthy.

what the FUCK
Jeffrey Epstein advised Steve Bannon that the lawyers representing Brett Kavanaugh in his confirmation hearing should accuse Christine Blasey Ford of being on medications that cause false memories or memory loss.
