A morning in school reviewing the data for tomorrow. Always a strange day, with many stories behind the numbers. There’s a line in this poem that seems apt for today - ‘the world’s fullness is not made but found.’ Weddings, results… just thresholds to some new adventure. #dailypoem #shareapoem

So, over the summer I read a book called Overstory (tree-based, highly recommend) and since then I’ve been noticing trees much more. There is one near my house which has such a smooth transition between trunk and tarmac that it seems to be a vertical extension of the road. Anyway - trees. Great!

Jersey isn’t the worst place to live on a day like today.

Something I’ve been thinking about for some time: there is a lot of interesting and reasoned discussion of what good teaching is, and how to do it (and how not to do it), but for me the absolute key to it all is simply turning up. Every day. Lessons can be bang average sometimes, but just turn up.

So, will this place also have the bonkers arguments every time there is a school holiday?
