Hey Sean, are you registered with @alcs.co.uk who do an amazing job collecting and distributing monies owed to freelancers for secondary use of their work? Can highly recommend. Lovely, helpful people too.

That sounds rubbish, Sean. Sorry to hear that. We're so lucky, our pharmacy is literally inside and part of our GPs, so the communication between the two is excellent.

Incredible indeed. I was lucky enough to have advance access and episode 9 was where I started. I found it profoundly moving and made me miss John even more.

Wasn't there a gig at the Albert Hall you went to one time....?

Hey John, sorry I couldn't join last night. I'm slowly recovering, but start flagging in the evenings. Look forward to catching up on all the comments though!

Good job, Sophie! You all definitely earned that breakfast.

I was going to pick that wonderful Caitlin Rose album too, but made the mistake of checking Wiki yesterday which listed 2008's 'Dead Flowers' as her debut instead. On closer inspection, it turns out that was an extended EP rather than an album.

Hi Richard, here’s my belated (sorry) #5debutalbums1014 Many thanks.

1. Jonathan Wilson 'Gentle Spirit' – 5pts
2. John Grant ‘Queen of Denmark’

Fully agree, Steven. I posted this yesterday: bsky.app/profile/jere...
The new Jeff Lynne mix of Real Love is borderline unlistenable. Out of synch and lacking the warmth of his excellent original 1996 version or Giles Martin’s later attempt. And why lose so much of George’s standout guitar work?

Quite so! They should prescribe his concerts on the NHS!
November 22, 2025 at 5:52 PM
Aagh, that's awful. And they haven't even tried to make Paul look human.
November 22, 2025 at 5:51 PM
Hi hope you're well. Can I include Jonathan Wilson's 2011 masterpiece Gentle Spirit? It was recognised at the time as his debut, but I notice he did record a 2007 solo album 'Frankie Ray' during his previous career with the band Muscadine. Wiki says that solo LP was never officially released though?

I always contend there’s just as much great music being made as there ever was. It’s just not as easy to find as it was because it’s not in the mainstream charts which are dominated by streaming. If you take the time to search it out - as you do - there’s some real gems to be found!

Is that during Paul’s interview with ITV in summer 1967 where he’s asked about LSD? In the back garden at Cavendish.

Silo is incredible. Superb world building and a brilliant performance from Rebecca Ferguson.

Many thanks Euan, much appreciated. 0/10, would not recommend….

Me too! So looking forward to getting stuck in.

Thanks Dieter. Much appreciated. I’ve managed to avoid it for five years. It’s not fun! 🤒
