That's what did it for me. 2000 was the first election I could vote in. I didn't even vote for either major party candidate and yet I still felt betrayed because it was obvious they were working in a partisan manner. Wool fell from my eyes that year.

I'm not surprised. I heard weeks back that Trump was impressed with Mamdani. And it only makes sense that he would be. Trump acquiesces to people who stand up to him and demonstrate they can win big.

I heard a few weeks ago that behind the scenes Trump was saying he was impressed with Mamdani. And of course, why wouldn't he be? He likes people who command respect and are winners.

I'm glad she's giving some of the crazies an off-ramp to something perhaps less crazy. I can appreciate she is one among many fractures in MAGA. But she's still part of the reason for the degradation of our country. So fuck off.

There's many aspects to the Trump con but one I find super frustrating Is his ability to be such a prolific liar while simultaneously telling you exactly what he's going to do. It's really quite incredible. Everything he says becomes a Rorschach test.
