I don’t think your idea of a “hardline” platform can ever win, though, because the confederates are still fighting the last Civil War. Even if the MAGAfied poor people believe it’s a class war, they’ve proven they’ll vote against their self interest to “own the woke libs” or harm POC.

I’ve come to the conclusion that the Republic has failed. Whatever comes next, I don’t know. But the idea that somehow the democrats are going to win another election and steer us back to normalcy is a fantasy.
