Mike Trout drove in the Angels' first and last runs in their 4-3 victory. He's 9 for his last 30, which is encouraging, even though he still hasn't hit a homer in more than a month.

Ray Montgomery called that one of the Angels worst defensive games of the season. Caden Dana also had a rough night finding the strike zone. The Angels didn't hit much either.

All's well that ends well.

The Angels did little at the plate for eight innings, and then they erupted (from the bottom of the order) in the ninth against one of the best relievers in baseball.

The also equaled last year's total with their 63rd win.
