u like strongly typed languages bc theyre less prone to errors. i like em bc i get a cute little tooltip when i hover over the variable that tells me what type it is. we are not the same.

i also really have a disdain for people cheering on red states experiencing shitty policies either locally or at the national level. is it stove touching syndrome? yeah. but at the end of the day, i do hope most of the more conservative parts of this country can succeed (even if thats unlikely).
tbc i am not a "all suburbanites bad" person. i obviously cannot be, as a suburbanite myself who is very vested in the success of seattle. but man, no one who actually lives in a place and likes it wants it to fail.

i cannot imagine if king county/washington voting processes were how we did it nationally. can you imagine the turmoil of waiting this long for a fucking presidential election.

i cant imagine your preferred candidate losing and acting this way when both are democrats. no fucking wilson supporter wants the city to fail, even IF bruce had won. when people say shit like this, its very apparent they're some rube from the suburbs uninterested in the success of the city.

rad power bikes, a US based company, is shutting down largely in response to tariffs, which raise their prices and make foreign made bikes cheaper by comparison

good case study in how patently counterproductive these tarrifs are for stimulating local production
From what was the bike industry's largest cash raise for a brand to scale rapidly, to now a potential closure by January. Rad Power Bikes' steady wind-up appears imminent.

Will the bike trade do anything differently next time a black swan event arrives?

ppl in this article's comment section are advocating for returning to policies of voting discrimination/disenfranchisement bc their preferred candidate didnt win. its actually something to behold, insane crashout thread.
Katie Wilson, a progressive challenger to the incumbent mayor, is benefiting from the leftward trend of voters who send or drop ballots close or on election day.
