UPDATE! Went back the other night and there's now a little diorama of the bar behind the bar and there's a tiny little version of my license plate on it! The diorama even has its own diorama but, sadly, no license plate.

A few of my coozies. Thining them out but keeping all of these. Sorted by Indie Rock, Classic Rock/Country, Jam Bands, and Bars/Places. If there’s a coozie, I’m probably buying it.

In honor of the Grateful Dead’s historic show in Buffalo on 5/9/77, I gifted one of my license plates to local Deadhead favorite pizzeria, Candyman Pizza. They immediately hung it up over the bar!

Up this week for #TicketStubWed is the Tragically Hip at the Horizontal Boogie Bar in Rochester, NY on August 4, 1994. It was hot in there. At one point, someone threw a cigarette on stage and Gord looked around for a lighter so I tossed him mine. Lit it and tossed it back.

Quote skeet with an image of who you saw at your first concert. Say who it was in alt text.

It will never be lost on me that two of the best live performances ever were performed on the exact same day (and one of them was in my home town). Love the poster for this one as well.

It occurred to me well after the fact that I saw 3 shows last week and all were “tribute” bands. BEAT doing King Crimson, Strictly Hip doing Tragically Hip, and Organ Fairchild doing the Dead. All were absolutely fantastic. That’s a wrap for 2024 - 31 band this year.

Four amazing albums from the year you turned 16.

I made this myself a few years back and put it on the tree while my wife was out of town. Took her a couple weeks to find it. She said “what the hell is that???” 😂

Tom and Jerry #2. At Graylynn in downtown Buffalo. Giving this one the slight edge over Hydraulic Hearth as it’s a little thinner and a touch of nutmeg maybe?

Tom and Jerry’s at Hydraulic Hearth in Buffalo. Super sweet. Super boozy.

Saw that they had what looked like gravy boats at the @sabres.com game tonight so I texted my son and he got one! Putting that to good use tomorrow.

Not sure why it popped in my head but I’m now on a mission to find one of these to gut and turn into a fish tank. Apple Macintosh Plus.

This week's ticket stub is for the mighty Bad Brains at the University of Buffalo on March 7, 1987. This show was absolute chaos including (I'm almost positive) HR strapping himself to a classroom chair for the show. The story is retold by his brother Daryl Jennifer in a video for Vans. I was 16.

Some of my favorite movies of all time. This bit Pat Sajak in Airplane! still cracks me up.
