I'm a train guard. I know when you don't have a ticket and I don't care that you don't. But, I want to see how far your lie goes so I will try my hardest to make you crack. Otherwise the job is very boring.

Yes, I'll give you that, Seal Team 6 (as per the article), but I suppose that doesn't cover the successful ones, which often remain unknown. It would be interesting to see a comparison with Delta etc on similar f-ups!

Reading the NYT piece, so much feels off, and it's written for drama rather than accuracy. A Tier 1 mission like this would always have clear ROE, and comms protocols. The catalogue of errors, while possible, seems way out of character for a well-rehearsed mission by skilled operators.
