Just passing through, cat daddy, and, oh yea, it appears we may be more than a few tweaks away from being a healthy society
Turns out most Libertarians are well-off white people that want to be able to do whatever they want. Huh.

The 14th Amendment is as clearly and unambiguously written as any law on the books. Politically it was intended to suppress former Confederates and prevent the conditions that led to the Civil War. To attack it is to give comfort to their heirs and cut into the seams of our society.

1) Trump pardons a corrupt Dem
2) Jeffries makes excuses for the "thin" indictment
3) Cuellar files to run as a Dem
4) Trump squeals that his quid pro quo isn't being honored
Trump rages that Henry Cuellar didn’t pay him back for a pardon by switching parties, blasting Cuellar for a “lack of LOYALTY.”

In other words, Trump admits he was trying to use his pardon power to buy Republicans a House seat.

On his way out the door Trump is going to pardon all the sycophants and functionaries that enabled his crime spree. The best we can hope for is that somehow we figure out a way to end the Presidential pardon power. Unfortunately, it will probably require a constitutional amendment. Very tough.

Nothing will get people to ban capital punishment more quickly than making it public.
A Palantir billionaire just called for public hangings.

“It's time to bring back masculine leadership to protect our most vulnerable,” writes Joe Lonsdale.

This is where Silicon Valley authoritarianism is heading:

Really love how this guy posted this on TikTok thinking the woman who broke his Meta glasses would come off as the villain, as opposed to him, the guy recording her without her consent for social media content via a surveillance device made by one of the worst companies on earth

A New York subway rider has accused a woman of breaking his Meta smart glasses. She was later hailed as a hero.

The problem is not the pardon power. The problem is us. We weren't supposed to elect a crook as POTUS. If we did, the people we elected in Congress are supposed to do something about it. We're idiots, so we've elected crooks & cowards all the way up the line.

The problem is us. We need to fix us.
Giving the president the pardon power was a mistake. The most corrupt president in American history is conducting a jailbreak for his fellow criminals.

This kind of logic is why Democrats have a tough time winning in red leaning states
I'm personally 100% in for James Talarico, but I can't help but shake my head at the sad folks who are downplaying Rep. Jasmine Crockett's chances. She's brilliant, a great communicator, and has wide support among the Dem base in Texas. Underestimate at her at your own peril.
