I hate that AI has made me approach cute animal videos with an air of suspicion. I resent having to harden my heart to the possibility of an unlikely friendship between a very large dog and a very small one

The last time I saw John Woo’s THE KILLER was on laserdisc decades ago. Seeing it today in HD reveals stunning details, like Danny Lee’s clean-cut cop having a comically overlong mole hair on his jawline.

Sure, I could have put my boxed copy of Creepy Castle on eBay and got a couple hundred dollars for it. But I wouldn’t have gotten this, which is priceless.
This one is a real emotional roller coaster! Many thanks to everyone who attended VCF Midwest, and my heartfelt gratitude to the people who continually shower their grace and kindness on me. It's overwhelming (in a positive way).

I updated my PFP everywhere because my old picture was taken five years ago. The new one is fine, but there’s no getting around it: I look exactly like what I am, a dude in his 50s. I can’t believe I’m old.

Like every business, Panic has a curated, themed playlist that plays in our lobby, emanating office-parkily from a weird rock speaker.

The vibe goal? 80's-corporate, EPCOT center, inspirational slideshow of Apple II quarterly results, slight unease/discomfort, and personal computer optimism.

Disappointed by the adoption rate of prefers-color-scheme by major sites. Too many of them still default to light mode and don’t use this media query. It’s been six years since it was widely adopted by most browser vendors! Harumph.

There is something astoundingly perverse is trying to use the language of workers' rights and class solidarity to defend a system that is designed and promoted by the managerial class to replace them.
