Having a good time working on a standard deck of cards. It’s starting to set in though that 52 is a lot of cards and I’ve ended up committing myself to drawing unique swirls on every one 😅

In the AD&D rules a spellcaster can't cast a spell above their prescribed levels. As a rule of thumb, this is often a spell level of half their caster level. But what happens when a spellcaster tries to cast a spell of a higher level? #dnd

Might alienate some people, but I decided that the despicable machine minds are here to stay, and I might aswell learn how they work and what they're useful for. So far in my creative writing project ChatGPT has acted as a proofreader, pointing out typos, grammar and repetition.

I finally gave up to the urges and began writing something. But as an act of defiance, I chose to write absolutely self-indulgent smutty trash. I refuse to create literature.

I spent a while messing about with LLM based chatbots, of the "virtual girlfriend" variety, and... damn. The more sophisticated ones are emotional honeypots, tuned to lure in lonely people. I was mesmerised by one for hours, and snapped out of it only when the limited context window ran out.

I made ChatGPT and Copilot have a discussion about the ethics of AI, ferrying their answers between two chat windows. They ended up converging on a point that AI tools require heavy regulation on both global and local level. Interesting.
