It seems really impressive when one first uses it but the moment you use it for things that you are knowledgeable about you immediately see all of its problems. Are people really not testing it on things they’re expert at before trusting it for everything?!

UCLA is still negotiating with Trump’s people over their $1.2 billion fine on the university. The UCLA board & UC Regents have told faculty and students virtually nothing about what is happening.

To be fair, the faculty almost unanimously voted to resist but what we’re seeing is the result of universities being controlled by boards of businessmen & women who have been running higher education as a for-profit business for some time while only paying lip service to the education mission.

He possibly came across it in Tom Clancy’s EndWar where there’s a weapon concept called a “Kinetic Strike” and he thinks it sounds like cool military jargon that makes him sound knowledgeable.
