Unrelated to anything right now, I’m happy to report that I discovered MUCH bike parking at the newly refurbished plaza at NE corner of Baseline and Wellington #ldnont #ldnontbike. Not perfect, but plentiful. One wave rack was even installed correctly to allow bikes on both sides!!

No it fucking won't.
They've been gorging themselves on grievance porn for decades now. Nothing any government does is going to calm them.

I should add that that last bit is because she’s expressed a desire in getting better. But we also tell her all the time that we just enjoy her doodles. They can be enjoyed even if they aren’t “perfect”.

“Awesome! That’s how you get better.”
I'm old.

If you're not, listen to this.

Get a guitar or some drums, or a trumpet. Pick up a brush, a pencil, some clay or a welder.

Just make shit. It doesn't have to be good (eventually it will be) just make music, art or write or whatever.

It's literally never been more important.

I'm not interested in "I told you so."

A lot of people voted Liberal because they were terrified of Poilievre and his gang. I get that.

But Carney's who we got, he's being a weak leader, pushing policies that are harming the vast majority of us and it's time to just admit he sucks and push back.

Super cool that we've got a deal for a path towards a pipeline that's tied to a carbon capture project, as if that makes it okay

when carbon capture one of the most expensive and least effective options for addressing climate change, and oil companies often use it to EXTRACT MORE OIL!!!!

fuck man

Genuinely feels like there's been a coup within the Liberal party thanks to Carney and his bros.

Not to say Trudeau's Liberals were much better (they bought a pipeline!) but Carney is a full-blown red tory and I'm shocked more Liberals aren't outraged their party has been usurped like this.

Ford is going full Piggy, calling any protests "anti-democratic" and the protesters "radical left-wing groups," all while ramming through his deeply unpopular and cruel bills with shortened debate times and sometimes skipping first and second readings altogether.

This chucklefuck must be stopped.
Ford says he will audit ‘left-wing radical groups’ opposed to government legislation | Globalnews.ca
Ford's warning came after members of the tenant advocacy group ACORN interrupted the legislature to protest a controversial omnibus bill that shortens some eviction timelines.

Cycling and walking aren’t “nice-to-have hobbies.”
In winter, they’re lifelines for people who can’t drive, can’t afford a car, or can’t physically manage long walks through snowbanks.

A city that plows parking but not bike lanes is making a choice about who gets to move

A sad day for cyclists. Bill 60 - which prohibits the conversion of motor vehicle lanes to bike lanes (or any other prescribed purpose) - has passed Third Reading this morning which will kill various cycling projects in Toronto & across Ontario. #shame #BikeTO #BikeSky #TOpoli #ONpoli #VisionZero

I walked along a few kms of College St this morning before 9am. Day care drop then carried on. Watched the people push and cycle their kids around, some dad on a cargo bike waved & said hi to some tweens walking in front of me. All very Sesame Street.

And this gov't has contempt for it all.

It’s time that the rest of NATO accepts the following, we are all in grave danger as long as both Trump AND Putin are alive and in power.

There will not be peace as long as both of them have their fingers on the triggers.

Unclear where this war profiteering plan came from or why it emerged right now, but clear that it is in every way disastrous
This is not a peace plan. It is a proposal that weakens Ukraine and divides America from Europe, preparing the way for a larger war in the future. In the meantime, it benefits unnamed Russian and American investors, at the expense of everyone else.

Good. If an entire industry is based on theft and stealing, it needs to be ruined.
AI advocates have warned that if every author in the class action filed a claim, it would "financially ruin" the entire industry.
Authors celebrate “historic” settlement coming soon in Anthropic class action
Advocates fear such settlements will “financially ruin” the AI industry.
