We'll see what happens. Difference between a marble race & a run is w/ a marble race, you start w/ all the marbles/balls on a wide platform/track & use a retaining frame to allow you to line up the marbles & release them at the same time. Like the one I built here:

The partner has a marble collection that includes various sized glass marbles. Possibly a metal one or two. Not sure. They have several antique marbles.

This set comes w/ large Duplo sized balls that are hollow. Lego ball machines use a much smaller plastic mostly solid ball. I have marbles of various sizes & made from various materials..

It comes off easy w/ warm water & will hold for years. I have a piece ai just took apart tjat I built back in 2018 maybe? Glue was still holding. Love this stuff!
