I've been in a bizarre situation for the past several days in which no one — and I mean almost NO ONE — is responding to business emails or DMs (some of which are time-critical). Is there some weird internet outage I'm not aware of? 🤔

Not a joke; I have two Wi-Fi networks at my house (top). Tonight, I opened my Wi-Fi settings to find this. Whichever of my neighbors did this: Well played, sir. Well played. 🤣

Just received notice that the original camera masters and physical release copies of the feature I did in 2009 have been destroyed. It was overdue (long-term physical storage of films is impractical and wasteful at this point), but it still feels weird. Sigh.

"They say 'Time is the fire in which we burn.'" While duty calls and precludes my attendance, I shall still greatly miss STLV25. To honor the past, here's a small memento of times long gone. A salute to my friends who endeavor to undertake the journey! Have a beer for me, if you feel so inclined.

Dang… Emmys go sci-fi! "Severance," "Andor," "Last of Us," "Agatha"… all nominated (multiple times) in traditionally non-scifi categories. Even "Doctor Who" gets its first nom in 62 years! Wow.

The "Great Internet Outage of June 12 2025." 🤪 Many 3rd-party services contract to use Google servers, so even people NOT on Google have been experiencing outages for the past 2 hours. It's all connected. Remember, that's why the Galactica survived the Cylon attack: Because it wasn't networked. 😉

Preparing to edit my upcoming feature, and decided to bite the bullet. I need something that’ll work with the latest 4K RAW codecs — and do so quickly — so the time has come to retire from Intel. Tricked out, this new ARM-based Studio cost upwards of $5000… yikes… but definitely worth it.
