I've loved Sigourney Weaver ever since one of my all-time favorite movies, ALIEN. Couldn't resist going all fanboy on her yesterday & asking for a photo. She told me she's now in the cast of The Mandalorian. Talk about bad timing: she's now in that galaxy far, far away, years after I checked out! 💔

Nice try on Schwarber, Buccos. 5 years for a pure DH was a tough commit. Sounds like they made the Phillies up their offer, though. And that’s probably a franchise first.

Nobody told me that WATER (1985) is on the @criterionchannl.bsky.social. The DVD is utter shit. This is extraordinary news for, like, 7 people.

When we talk about physical media, we are often only taking about personal collections but a big part of shunning the current digital ecosystem is supporting your local library. Not just for print books and periodicals but for movies, games and other medias too. Get. A. Library. Card.

Go find a theater showing Fackham Hall.

We ten lunatics at an 840 screening of a British comedy that nobody knows even exists had a great time.
#NowSeated for FACKHAM HALL. Yes. At an 840am showtime, the only screening at Cinemark today. In its opening weekend… or should I say ONLY weekend.

News outlets breathlessly talk about these kinds of mergers like it's three handsome suitors vying for the hand of a coquettish vestal virgin instead of what it is:

Companies that are already more powerful than many national governments vying for monopolistic control over all media and information.
these are all terrible options, and if we lived in a functioning democracy with working regulators we'd think nothing of putting a blanket end to pointless media consolidation

these deals are always terrible for product quality, consumers, art and labor, but this is always downplayed in coverage.
