I know this isn’t really the most important point, but it should be “More Lethality, Fewer Lawyers.”

In short, you definitely don’t have enough butter. I’m currently worried about not having enough heavy cream…

Yeah I mean the Yeti should be higher because some people might answer yes thinking it’s about an insulated mug.

@anneralph.bsky.social it was literally my first post.
Hi everyone! I’m over here now. Putting in a last-minute grocery order for forgotten items and am wondering: do I have enough butter? (I think I’ve got at least six pounds, but is that enough?)
November 25, 2025 at 11:49 PM
The winner: 6 sticks of butter and 5 heads of roasted garlic. And a cup of heavy cream
If I used 15 pounds of potatoes, how many pounds of butter should I use in the mashed potatoes?

This was definitely me last year. I feel like maybe I even posted about it.

(3) Lindsay and I met on law review, and for SEVERAL years I assumed she was a See's Candies heiress/trust fund kid. (It was Harvard--what can I say?) At some point, I found out that in fact she was a midwestern kid from a working-class family like me (much less common at Harvard).

(2) Even my favorite people have some almost irredeemable flaws. Lindsay, for example, embraces the (cleaned up) parenthetical. But because I strongly believe in maintaining friendships despite serious ideological disagreement, I haven't let that tear us apart.

A couple of other fun facts about Lindsay that weren't included in the list at the bottom:
(1) Lindsay is (was?) very skilled at not using footnotes in briefs. I think I've read briefs of hers that had zero footnotes in them. Bananas.

I can verify that she is, in fact, "nerdy at heart," that she does indeed love West Virginia and considers it home, and that she is an early bird. It is however, shocking that there's no reference of Taylor Swift in here, since Lindsay is a true Swiftie.

Perhaps most importantly, Joe and Cassie are kind and delightful to have as colleagues. I'm so happy to welcome them to our group. I'm biased, but I think we have the most fun and collegial culture of any Supreme Court practice, and Joe and Cassie fit right in!

Joe Landry joined us a couple weeks ago after clerking for Justice Jackson, working for almost 6 years at DOL, and clerking for Judge Loken (CA8) and Judge Talwani (D. Mass.).

Cassie Snyder joined us from Fed Programs in September. Earlier in her career she clerked for Judge Floyd on CA4 and Judge Jackson on D. Colorado. She's jumped in with both feet and is already doing amazing work on trial court matters and appeals.
