She/her, in my tired trans stepmom era. Unapologetic weird girl, apologetic ex-gamer.
I always love telling people that "yeah I've been shot, stabbed, choked to the point of unconsciousness" before... And they just go "oh yeah, military right?"
And I just *smile* at them until they realize that somehow my childhood was more violent than deployment

The more damning part of the voter results is that there's a huge chunk of older voters who guzzle down the terror hallucinations of a right-wing controlled media, and that he won *in spite* of that. Dems have lost the "centrist" votes, and will never be right-leaning enough to recapture that.

After frothing at the mouth hearing about it a few times I finally bought in and started recruiting some friends for a game (hopefully).
I don't think I've ever seen such a perfect encapsulation of like... "High functioning ADHD/adrenaline junkie" as the *first* action's "keep your head" high roll.

Much of what is thought of as misery in lesbian fiction is all about the misery of homophobia and corrective SA and comphet, and while that can be part of it, 'toxic yuri' is about the narrative agency of lesbian characters--the liberty to be, as it were, as awful as any fictional straight woman.

When I was younger I definitely struggled with the "am I crushing on her/am I wanting to be her" conundrum but sadly did not realize that's what it was, and that not everyone felt the same way. Now that I'm older I realize: everyone else was just wrong, Ryoko is amazing.
