Submission guidelines: Presentations (in-person; individually or co-presented)
- Abstract: up to 300 words (including references).
- Presentation: 20 minutes.
- Languages: English (main conference language) or Spanish (limited number of papers)
- Abstract deadline: 21 November 2025.

Second, the editorial provides a taxonomy of reception studies and a summary of the main empirical findings they have offered to date.

Finally, the contributions to the special issue are summarised, and their logical progression from multimodal text comprehension to multimodal text interpretation is justified drawing on Bordwell’s work on films.
