I have an appointment to donate blood this afternoon because I cannot stop being a paragon of selflessness and virtue even on my days off, and also so I can score a pair of these sick Pac-Man socks
Laid out flat is a pair of black socks with the words "American Red Cross" knitted in near the blue toes, with a patterns of Pac-Man and the various ghosts interspersed with pellets, stylized blood droplets, and an oversized white pellet with the Red Cross logo. Alongside the socks is a little gashapon figurine of Pac-Man himself, as a round head with a wide-open smiling mouth and winking eyes, from which extend two short, spindly legs with red boots and two short, spindly arms with white gloves. The elbow of the left arm is painted so it looks like it's got a criss-cross of red friction tape on it, and the left glove has the Red Cross logo; awwww, Pac-Man has donated blood, too! What sort of unholy ichor do you think flows inside is misshapen spherical body? What color might it be? How would his circulatory system even work? Best not to dwell on it.

Today's office
