Even as a fan of many disney things, considering their actions with labor, AI, and erasing queer narratives, it just does not feel very good to see the heavily vulnerable queer fandom full of people who rely on creating art for livelihoods be super hyped for their works.

Not to say smaller creators are infallible, plenty of problems there too. It's just, idk, it feels like putting the eggs in one basket leaning into a cliff.

That, and attaching to Disney and et al can only bring us all down. we've seen jk rowling and the consequences of tying a fandom to products of a megacorp or singular idol figure, only to have them get hateful, screw everyone over and leave it ultimately impossible to remain a fan in any ethical way

There are good reasons to be distrustful tbqh, it's a weird time when more than anything, furry is becoming a big market to tap into, from folks in the fandom and out. For all the ethical actors just making cool things they happen to sell, there's so many people waiting to grift

Not to be insistent that you're a bad person for wanting to see zootopia 2 or like inferior to me, but it's really just, my specific tastes and priorities and yours will just inherently not be the same, and it's gonna be hard for me to get you as a result
