Mostly Spurs stuff
When.

We only build up down the wings. That doesn't change even when the opposition deal with it easily.

I had something else on in Birmingham in the day but it was not a hard decision not to go yesterday.

I don't see any marginal gains or percentage points. I don't see is winning ugly. I see us look shit in all phases of play

Whatever your thoughts on managers past and present something is fundamentally not working in that team, and it's not that the players are now bad.

Gray and Dragusin is a relegation partnership and played like it. Romero and VdV are top 5/6 level quality at worst and Danso's a good back up.

We were good last year before the injuries. The team that was 17th had fucking Archie grey at CB.

This is largely first choice defense.
November 29, 2025 at 9:19 PM
They were good last year before they all got injured and we had no backups. Now those same players look terrible.

He must be, otherwise he's delusional.

@nathanaclark.bsky.social had a good video illustrating exactly that the other day.

Nobody moves ahead of him, so there are no options.

Maddison doesn't solve this.
November 25, 2025 at 6:09 PM
Agree with giving time generally, but i don't see anything improving over weeks.

There's nothing to hold on to.

No point changing now though, there's no one better.
November 25, 2025 at 10:05 AM
I disagree, the forwards never get the ball in this system. We've got no plan to get the ball out of our half other than a hoof.

Only Maddison would help with that and there's a chance he may never be the player he was, and won't play this season, so what's the plan (Frank)?
November 25, 2025 at 10:03 AM
Absolutely. It's a disaster. I expected us to be Brentford plus and wasn't happy with that (predicted 8th) but we're nothing, i can't even see what we're trying to do on the ball.

I thought we'd be better against good teams as the counterattacking would work better, but B'mouth/Arse/Chel games...
November 25, 2025 at 9:06 AM
He was v.defensive at Brentford, but the thinking (hope) from spurs fans was that we would have other ideas with better players (the nuno fallacy). He doesn't.
We're bad Brentford but disorganised and playing to our players weaknesses.
November 25, 2025 at 9:02 AM
This is the most important thing. If we were an effective counterattacking side it becomes about whether it's scalable.

At the moment we're watching a mess, and have been for months.
November 25, 2025 at 8:57 AM
Solanke better than alternatives at holding up balls lobbed in his rough direction i guess. Worse at scoring from crosses than Richarlison though.
November 23, 2025 at 10:05 PM
I have yet to see any evidence of him being anything other than defensive.

I really don't see those players changing much, there's no attempt to play the ball through the middle, so maybe Maddison drops deep and picks out Kudus twice a game? Kulu doesn't start over Kudus.
November 23, 2025 at 10:04 PM
We're not playing well enough to finish mid table IMO.
November 23, 2025 at 10:00 PM
I think there were plenty of reasons to sack Ange e.g his pressing structures. IMO there were 0 reasons to hire a defensive coach, which is what Frank is.
With a fit first team we were quite good, both defending and attacking. This does nothing to build on that and starts us from 0. Again.
November 23, 2025 at 9:54 PM
He has more technical options than Bentancur in CM and doesn't use them. What is it that he's missing in those positions?

The whole sales pitch was adaptability. I just see the same turgid shit each week.
November 23, 2025 at 9:10 PM
He got half of a new midfield in Palhinha. He got Kudus wide. He got RKM wide. What heroic profile of winger does he require to win the game from 6 passes over 90 launched in their general direction?
November 23, 2025 at 9:09 PM
As i said at the time, if this is actually a rebuild, it's a disaster already.

We were halfway towards a squad that could play attacking football. Now we're trying to move back the other way. Rinse and repeat.

Except somehow even worse than the mediocrity i expected.
