There may be a dichotomy,
a successive forking
into two
but not necessarily
equal divisions
in a proposed equation,

In a shimmering forest, the tiny sprite named Lumia discovered a lost star fallen from the sky. there is no real escape,
only the fragile truce
negotiated at length
for certain stretches

before the imminent threat
