Saying "AI" was "trained" on the work of artists and writers is the wrong metaphor. Their work was made into a database to be copied from and reproduced in small chunks.

There is no mind learning or being trained. There is no "intelligence" in that reproduction There's plenty of artificial, tho.

I really admire people that are able to work on things at a consistent pace, marathon-like level rather than a series of eternal sprints and rests.

I mean, I don’t understand it, but I admire it.

We’ve limited ourselves to only two streaming services per year which means we tend to try out a lot of shows we would normally ignore. Sometimes you find gems.

Sometimes you find La Brea (I hate this show so much but TB is into it now, save me).

Thank you so much for asking, I will be ringing in the new year getting zonked on NyQuil and passing out on my couch, as our forefathers intended.

If your development process doesn’t include “how could this be misused” and coming up with ways to mitigate the harms, you’re doing it wrong.
“Domestic violence experts say that these [car] convenience features are being weaponized in abusive relationships, and that car makers have not been willing to assist victims. This is particularly complicated when the victim is a co-owner of the car, or not named on the title.”
Your Car Is Tracking You. Abusive Partners May Be, Too.
Apps that remotely track and control cars are being weaponized by abusive partners. Car manufacturers have been slow to respond, according to victims and experts.

Being a House of Disease during holiday break means TB is now way too familiar with the YouTube channels I like as I rewatch videos in an illness stupor.

So far my visits to DC have included Indian, Salvadoran, Greek, Georgian, Afghan, Palestinian, Ethiopian, Italian, Peruvian, Japanese, and French foods (plus a Korean bakery).

What new things should I eat? Recs within easy walking or metroing from DuPont would be ideal.

It’s amazing how often politics talk makes me wish I weren’t a lawyer. I want the blessed gift of understanding less.

This response is such an infuriating cop-out.

Sure, you didn’t create this for the purpose of creating realistic violent, sexual, or otherwise compromising and harmful images, but was that use EXTREMELY OBVIOUS and ANTICIPATED??
Microsoft’s primary response to being informed that Image Creator can be prompted to create graphic images of extreme violence against “against women, minorities, politicians and celebrities” is that people are using AI “in ways that were not intended.”
Analysis | Microsoft says its AI is safe. So why does it keep slashing people’s throats?
The AI Image Creator makes extremely violent images of Joe Biden, the pope and others. Microsoft’s failed response points the finger at rogue users.

If you’re wondering why Twitter would make significant enough changes to the link shortener that it would break all links, @molly.wiki posted this three hours before links broke on Twitter - an exploit that could take over a user’s account if they clicked on a link. Twitter did not pay a bounty.
