Looking for community in these dark days
There is concern that this 50 State Capitals protest on 2/5 is a set up by nefarious forces. None of the usual groups (like Indivisible) are involved. A cursory search shows lots of Reddit/Threads action. Be careful, people, know who you are dealing with. If I’m wrong correct me with facts.

So, my 2 Senators’ DC voice mails are full. And my Congressman’s aide hung up on me, so there’s that. I called all their local offices, too - some mailboxes full, some not. I’ll call DC offices later.

Some suggestions regarding SSN breach. If you can, freeze your credit at all 3 credit bureaus- transunion, experion, and equifax. If you can afford it sign on to a service like Lifelock. The credit bureaus also offer these services. Tell your bank that bad actors might have access to accounts.

People keep saying “Do Something” but then don’t tell us what to do. This is helpful. My little “public square” piece-wear my “Black Lives Matter” button everywhere I go this month.
The most common question I receive is how everyday citizens can help in the fight for democracy. My advice, take the first step, start with something small and see what works for you. Here are ten things all of us can do. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/10-t...

It’s important to know that a lot of productive activity is happening in person and offline, too.

Not all of it can be broadcast online, but we’ve had hundreds of people showing up to our trainings, mobilizations, and more.

Keep going. Tyranny is eroded by a sea of small acts. Everything matters.

Do you know why a president would do all the most evil and heinous shit via Executive Order? Because his party can't easily make it law. And if they can't make it law, they can't make it last.

Don't let anyone make you feel like this is The End. Do not let them demoralize you. Live to see them die.

While I weep for the victims of the plane crash - I hope there are many in DC who are shitting their pants this morning. Doubtful, I know.

Good Morning. From this morning’s Psalm -Psalm 17.
“When I tried to understand these things, it was too hard for me; Until I entered the sanctuary of God and discerned the end of the wicked. “

MLK's quote about fighting on in the face of great challenges is perfect for Trump 2.0: "If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”

My plans for 1/20-stay inside,
Make potato crock pot soup, take care of my elderly dog, watch Hallmark/ESPN, pray for assemblies of warrior angels around all who need protection, drink wine & eat soup, watch OSU vs ND, remember God is greater than all things orange.

Go ahead. Issue 10 trillion executive orders. They will not erase the FACT that gender is not necessarily fixed and is a social construct.

Dear Tech Companies,

No. We don't want "A.I." anything.

We don't want A.I. social media "friends."
We don't want A.I.-generated news reporters or anchors.
We don't want A.I. to curate our music or make our movies.

We REALLY don't want A.I. put in charge of our insurance claims or kids' education.

Just an f.y.i. for my friends who have moved on from FB. My mom died yesterday morning. She would have been 94 in May. Her battle with dementia is done and I’m a bit at loose ends.

Why are people obsessed with followers? I joined the other place & now this to follow interesting people & maybe learn something. It’s fun when people follow but I’m not really that interesting. I chose not pursue more book writing because publishing seems obsessed with social media & followers.
