This project will explore innovative environmental variables for species distribution models in the Mediterranean Sea.

The project proposal brings together species distribution modelling, citizen science, and DIY timelapse cameras to study the Mediterranean sponge Aplysina aerophoba. Aiming not only to produce new knowledge, but also to connect local communities with the conservation of our coastal ecosystems.
