If you’re ever in Berlin, then all the beauty of the city is to be found in this street.
Cafe Moskau, Karl Marx Allee, 1960s

The building was designed by architect Josef Kaiser and inaugurated in 1964. It originally served as a restaurant and a showcase for Soviet cuisine, featuring a wine bar, nightclub, and tea shop.

I did love this moment 🥰
In the justified furore about the climax of the Scotland game let’s not lose sight of this moment early on when McTominay scores an incred goal and runs to the touchline, shrugs off his teammates and asks ‘where’s my ma?’ Then blows her a kiss.

The joy of having someone in an election that you actually want to vote for. Last week it was Catherine Connolly, but I also have a vote in the UK and the excitement about Polanski is palpable.
It's strange seeing the centre and the right mocking anyone getting excited about the Green Party. Maybe their ceiling IS 17%. Maybe it's a flash-in-the-pan thing. But we are allowed to get excited about feeling represented on the left after almost six years of being told "you're done, stfu".

Right to Roam campaigners call for access to all England’s rivers

Our local groups are organising 9 river trespasses in November to highlight how inadequate & unworkable the government’s pledge of a mere 9 river walks is:

The whole war was created so that Trump could 'stop' it and get a Nobel Prize, wasn't it?
2. “…Bibi would call me so many times—“Can you get me this weapon? That weapon? That weapon?” Some of them I never even heard of. But we’d get them there, wouldn’t we? And they are the best. They are the best…and you obviously used them very well.”

The Gender Critical have already inundated this survey with their disgusting views on banning trans people from using the ponds.

Would be a shame if we inundated with trans positive views on not banning trans people.

To JKR and all her minions: stop with the terf-splaining. You don't speak for all women, and you definitely don't speak for me. It's not ignorance, it's having an opinion. You're like a multi-headed manifestation of the rancid uncle at Christmas who won't shut up. And about as convincing.

I do like to think about how surprised the evangelicals will be when the rapture happens and god doesn't want them. All of them in a smug clump waiting for their pat on the head and wondering where everyone else has gone.

I'm a problem solver, it's a strength. A weakness is that I tend to cause the problems in the first place.

I can’t quite put it into words yet, but something is happening, a kind of global singularity—a fusion of tech/media/news/government/employment which allows the global elite to push single agendas: “You WILL care about Charlie Kirk. You will NOT care about Palestine. You WILL fear cancel culture.”
Think we are up to 8 bbc news alerts about charlie kirk.

Graham Linehan is an anti-trans obsessive, not a free speech martyr
What has happened to Linehan is a predictable outcome for someone who becomes radicalised, obsessive and chronically online.

I mark A levels, and there's a 100% pass rate of students knowing this about Frankenstein... 🤦‍♀️🫠
Apparently Guillermo Del Toro has ruined Frankenstein by… being relatively faithful to the source material.

Oh my.
