“Robin I thought Anglicans weren’t ok with the pope?”

Me: Well… have you ever heard of Anglican papalism? 🤓

jk But I am impressed and hopeful with Pope Leo, and I also had a photo of Pope Francis in my house and I sat vigil and prayed a novena for him when he passed.

This is one of the most powerful and beautiful images of the Trinity I have seen outside of Duns Scotus and Bonaventure.

As we ready our hearts and minds for worship on this Christ the King Sunday, remember the thousands of people being held by this criminal regime. This is America, and it cannot continue. Come Jesus, Come. Rule over the nations, and cast the mighty from their thrones. Lift up the lowly.

I’m reading #DilexiTe… it’s such a necessary encyclical for the western world right now. Paragraphs 9 & 10 are very striking to me that Pope Leo mentions the marginalized of society. To me signaling to not only immigrants, but lgbtq+ people globally.

Tomorrow is Christ the King Sunday… it aligns with the O Antiphon “O Rex Gentium” if you do 7 wk Advent, observing one O Antiphon each week. It’s one of my favorite traditions. As the church enters into Advent those who observe 7 wk are well into Advent season using the lectionary we already have!

Happy feast… today we celebrate and remember one of our important Franciscan saints, St. Elizabeth of Hungary! She is the patroness of Third Order Franciscans among others (nurses, hospitalers, lace makers, the homeless, dying children, widows, the falsely accused).

St. Elizabeth, pray for us! 🙏🏼

Thankful to the Lord this morning praying Psalm 66, with a cool breeze coming through the windows and the smell of rain in the desert. 🌵

Did you know God loves you? He loves you so much He came to be among us in the person of Jesus of Nazareth. Go to the altar. He is there, in the Eucharist. 🫶🏼✝️🙏🏼🫓🍷

Have you read “The Advent Project” by James McKinnon? 🥹

In your charity please pray for my small but mighty in their worship church today. We are embarking on a Day of Discovery with the Canon to the Ordinary. We are the only truly Anglo-catholic church in practice and theology in the city and we’ve been so since our founding.

Yes! I own this book but I haven’t actually read it completely. Thanks for making me hurry to my bookshelf lol

I’m watching a Dominican give a lecture on the “Itinerarium Mentis ad Deum” 🙃 St. Bonaventure was after all, friends with St. Thomas Aquinas… so I guess I will let my bias simmer as I try to open my heart… lol

Until we meet again, my friend. Ánágodziih doleel. Journey to the Holy Ones and be happy in the Spirit World my gurl. I love you. Sil n’zhoo.

Grief is hard, but I put trust in our Creator for bringing us together and live in the promise we’ll be reunited one day in spirit.

Night of laughter, tears, and stories… there is no word for goodbye it in Apache, just “we’ll see you again.” You bravely walked with us in WMAT parade with the Apache Pride group and you loved it so we got you a bunch of pride flags for your final resting place.

The final four shots have been fired to the East for my dear friend Neulyn “Nunu” Nantan. We sat with her all night… we laughed, cried, and prayed. Today we will bury her with her ancestors, her possessions, and the things Apaches teach she will need in the Spirit World. Love you Nunu. Un’zeek.

“This thing that afflicts you is nothing… Am I not here, I who am your Mother? Are you not under my shadow and protection? Am I not the source of your joy? Are you not in the hollow of my mantle, in the crossing of my arms? Do you need something more? Let nothing else worry you or disturb you.”

Happy feast to likely my favorite philosopher & theologian—muse to my soul. He’s far too unknown and his insight could help change the unhealthy view of God as the vengeful selfish penitentiary warden who needs repayment for sin. Why he is not on TEC’s calendar, I haven’t a clue. It should change.

When I pray the rosary before Mass I often wrap it around my wrist instead of putting it away. When I did it last with my St. Anthony relic rosary I placed it on the Lady shrine at church and left it. It disappeared. So I replaced it. 🥹 He didn’t find my old one but led me to my new one.
