…tour de force though it undoubtedly is, and it took me a bit of time to get into Flights, but the effort was absolutely worth it!

I love them all. I think House of Day, House of Night (newly reissued by Fitzcarraldo, translated by Antonia Lloyd-Jones) was my favourite (don’t make the recipes!) but I also really enjoyed Primeval & Other Times and The Empusium. I’d probably recommend not starting with The Books of Jacob
