He, his. People who are wondering if they should follow me back should know that I'm pretty boring and nitpicky. Officially designated RadLib Crank.

Why I give my pronouns: https://rb.gy/p9p5yu
Your mentioning insects reminded me of the first apartment I had in Portland, which overlooked a mossy roof. Birds would root around in the moss for insects, an activity which fascinated my cats.

The movie is set in London in 1943. The hero has a very pretty cat (attn @catsofyore.bsky.social) and suddenly I'm wondering how cat and dog people kept their animals fed during rationing.

Once again r/deathstairs has a very topical visual metaphor.

So you participated in the Topkapi Heist? Probably shouldn't talk about it online.

I think I'm not loving the super-high production values of Apple TV shows. It means that even well-received shows like Constellation struggle to justify their huge budgets and even shows that survive make you wait and wait and wait...

I thoroughly enjoyed the first 2 seasons of Severance, but even though Season 2 ended with a pretty good cliffhanger, I find my interest in the show waning as I wait out a similar delay for Season 3.
November 28, 2025 at 1:55 AM
Just as I got myself thoroughly invested in Pluribus, I figured out that Season 2 probably won't drop for a couple years. Meaning the main story arc probably won't get resolved for at least 6 years. I wonder if I can maintain my investment that long?

I have a terrible eye for detail. It's just that the control yoke is a really conspicuous feature of airplane cockpits, so it being missing feels very strange. It's like the pilots are just sitting there, not really doing anything.
November 27, 2025 at 2:38 AM
While watching Pluribus, I discovered that the Airbus A330 dispenses with the traditional control yoke, instead using a joystick that wouldn't be out of place on a coffee table next to a video game console.

Somehow I find that more disturbing than the show's apocalyptic premise.

Here's my excuse to ask you whether you've been watching Pluribus and, if so, whether you agree that it's really about AI.

Really, the headline should be "Man injured in alleged canine-involved shooting."

Not until we get a sequel to the most underappreciated Star Trek story: A Piece of the Action.

What kind of boat? Rowboats are easier to steal than Armidale-class patrol boats.
