Redraw of this SpongeBob SquarePants scene in Season 14's episode, "Sheldon SquarePants." This was a weird episode in terms of SpongeBob's face placement. It was more centered than it usually is. Not sure if that was the case in the original boards.

See, even subtle differences like having his body curved more makes a HUGE difference. The team used to have his body curve and have a more prominent arc while also making his body narrower at the bottom. But they made that more subtle and it makes his standing poses look really stiff.

With SpongeBob’s design in Season 14, I would notice scenes like this where something felt off but I wasn’t sure what. Turns out it’s the placement of his face. It’s more centered on the body, which has never been the case.
