More than cool reason ever comprehends.

‘to-day he puts forth
The tender leaves of hopes; to-morrow blossoms,
And bears his blushing honours thick upon him;
The third day comes a frost, a killing frost,
And, when he thinks, good easy man, full surely
His greatness is a-ripening, nips his root,
And then he falls’

I’m so glad the First Hike Project is introducing refugees to the beauty of the Australian bush, as my dad did for me. What a great initiative!

I will never forget having to edit Jamal’s final, posthumous piece for the Washington Post, after he was murdered.

He was calling for free expression in the Arab world. You can read it here :

Opinion | Jamal Khashoggi: What the Arab world needs most is free expression
The Arab world needs a modern version of the old transnational media so citizens can be informed about global events.

Hotspur is such an idiot, and this scene is comedy genius.

But on the big day, when dad calls in sick and uncle neglects to mention the king’s offer of pardon, I can’t help feeling sorry for Hotspur. What a family!
