Whoever builds skyscrapers on the ex-Beaman lots on Broadway could make one reach over the interstate. Or a bridge... or a cable car in the air...

This street is a mess! A couple of blocks from the Nashville North library, across from the Krogér.

Book display at the Nashville Bordeaux library: Survival of the thickest (book!), Chonk chart...

In Vision Zero meetings, I learned that you can do the minimum to save $$ and still comply with some law and that may help to explain the end of the sidewalk from the bus stop and crosswalk across Clarksville Hwy. before you reach the entrance to the Nashville Bordeaux library.

Beaujolais season in Nashville.

Old enough to remember when Beaujolais for Thanksgiving dinner became a fad in NYC. I'd run across 181st to inquire: Is it here yet?

Recently learned that my friendly Cuban wine merchant whose name I forgot died a while ago. I'll always associate him with Beauj.

This is pretty funny, Nashville Business Journal. "Fell in love with health care ..."

You can read the NBJ freely at your favorite library (recommended), or subscribe (it's paywalled) (also recommended).

The weather in Nashville has been remarkable, for weeks and weeks.

This White Castle is still here, by the interstate in Nashville.

This Nashville corner has become much safer since all the pedestrian lights were synchronized and no cars turn left in your back toward you while crossing. Except when a car jumps the curb, wham.

A confused iris on the Peabody campus. No, it's not springtime in Nashville.

Game changer on Bransford and Berry Rd! Soon you no longer will have to wait for the WeGoTransit bus 77 in the ditch by MNPS!

The kid just returned from a short vac in Amsterdam & sent me a pic of a grocery store checkout with bike lights and earplugs for loud parties.

Pre-Halloween fest near Nashville's Music Row.

The inbound @WeGoTransit 3 due to leave Charlotte at 3:45p.m. never showed up. Two students and I waited 40 minutes. Meanwhile, ooops, now there's a wreck on White Bridge at Villa Maria / Post Road.

Should you have a little time on Saturday, Nashville, stop by the Vanderbilt library's comics event.

I went to listen to a Nashville friend play ancient Mexican tunes with her little band and sat behind a person wearing bitcoin socks.

More shrimp recalled for radioactivity. Also, flesh-eating bacteria.

The frisson of stepping into the Nashville Symphony after walking through the crowds and cover rock bands' decibels and ... diversity from the bus stop through lower Broadway. In this building every seat is good, you might as well go for the cheaper seats.

Earlier I was flabbergasted that residents got killed and maimed by cars on narrowish 3rd Avenue N in Nashville with all the new "luxury" housing plus a greenway.

Earlier I was bushwhacking through Metrocenter to the new beautiful healthcare clinic.

Good old waiting for the bus with the chiggers in the Nashville grass.
