I made this… I had fun making this…
one guy at a MtG event said he'd buy two APs IF I could give him a deal on them. I told him asking for a discount would only drive my price up & l'd rather sell them to someone else instead. He was offended & walked away. I have ZERO regrets. It’s for me to decide if and when I give you a deal

Wondering why no one likes your posts anymore, even among your friends? It's because @jay.bsky.team and team have decided to hide a huge amount of content from all of our feeds by default.

Here's how to turn it off.

I have been lucky to be in London at the exact same time as the exhibit for @realgdt.bsky.social Frankenstein. I was also lucky enough to see it on the big screen a week ago and I’m STILL thinking about it. I’m obsessed with it. This is how you do it, with passion

I just saw @realgdt.bsky.social Frankenstein in theatre… what an absolute stunning movie. Everything… all of it… moved to tears.
Thank you!
Passion in every single second… a rare thing

“Yew tree on Lothrie Burn”, watercolour on hot pressed cotton paper.

I always stop to look at this tree on my daily walk, it was about time I painted it! :)

It's rutting season. This older drawing on a train ticket is from c.2013 (eek), but I'm still fond of it. I'd visited Wollaton Hall and deer park in Nottingham (wollatonhall.org.uk), hence the ticket to Beeston.

Red deer.
Pencil and sepia powder on train ticket primed with gesso.

I found some writing from 2020 to go with the daily sketchbook. Honestly, this is like reading my old diary. Only more cohesive. (Also, will I ever not feel stupid when coming up with thumbnails? Will I one day be cringe proof?)

The 2nd edition of the Blood Moon Tarot is finally here! This weekend will be the 10 year anniversary of beginning this project, when I started the first painting for the deck. I was very much in the space of The Fool as I began a new adventure.

I’ve been quiet lately… just doing my thing, painting some pictures, making some art, staying out of trouble (most of the time)

For those who shoot videos of their art process, I recently bought a Sony ZV-E10 and I’ve been struggling to get a decent video of my process. I honestly shoot better quality on my phone. Anyone have some helpful tips or tricks???

Today I spent some time painting unicorns. The day didn’t go as planned but turned around painting these. As John Constable said “painting is but another word for feeling”

@iriscompiet.bsky.social sera la seconde illustratrice MTG présente à Magic Man(i)a ! 😍

Elle a apporté au jeu une touche de fantasy mystique totalement unique en son genre ces dernières années ; et publié des artbooks largement plébiscités ! 🖌️🙌
Rencontrez-la fin août à Lille 🔥✨

No art, just a statement… was 28 years later last night and it did not disappoint. Just when you thought the zombie idea was wrung out and stale they went and did this…. Awesome

What will happen when a new hire refuses to sign the agreement that all of their work will be in a company AI? Or what happens when a long time employee refuses to sign an updated terms employee agreement? What happens when an actor in a key role refuses to be scraped?

I watched the ILM Ted talk that has the AI “mood board”. I noticed the careful mention at the end, “with the talent’s permission” and “with the artists’ permission”. I think it means anyone that works for Disney/ILM/Marvel will have their work in a *company* AI. And that’s how this begins en masse.

Fuck ai

Having had the pleasure to work on the Star Wars Bestiary, and working with those incredible designs human artists made… this is such a fuck you to all of them. Ai garbage indeed
An entire lecture on the hard work, creativity, dedication, and passion required to produce industry-shaping film special effects over the last 50 years only to close on a gleeful presentation of some of the most soulless AI garbage imaginable to look forward to in the future 🫠
