This is why we have laws relating to warfare, and part of what separates soldiers from terrorists.
Since I haven’t seen anyone mention this: When the U.S. commits war crimes it puts our troops in danger also, as it gives a green light to other countries that they can do the same to us

To put a finer point on this whole thing: "Two people with direct knowledge of the operation" — presumably uniformed military leaders — are accusing the U.S. Secretary of Defense of personally ordering specific war crimes. That's a historic accusation.

The Constitution is silent on that, in part because many of the Founders & Framers were deemed criminals by the British.

They believed that Americans would select the President and Congress members morally, ethically, and soberly. 21st Century America would be a profound disappointment to them.
