Yeah when I had it (almost ten years ago), the number of people who told me they’d had it in their 20s or 30s was surprising! After I recovered, my doc told me I still didn’t need the vaccine 🤯 Since 2020 I’ve worried about getting it again, just based on increased stress levels alone.

I had it at 34, though it was thankfully a mild case. I asked around after and was still told I didn’t need the vaccine, or couldn’t get it until 50. Though with the number of folks reporting success with paying OOP in these threads, I mights start calling around…

As soon as I saw the list, I figured that’s what was going on, but I try to give the benefit of the doubt when I can.
At least the student didn’t assume that the librarian on chat (me) was also an LLM, because that’s just as much of a downer (if not more) 🫠

They’re not really PhD students, or if they are they invent things. This guy found a couple who seem determined to be victims of AI shaming, which is interesting in itself, but I’ve seen others whose whole deal is productivity but their tips are bad and clearly not from a recent student.
