I give them like half a playthrough of Nier before they come out.

Businesses should never be allowed to make a health decision as a financial one.

Yeah, but how well has that show aged?

Your neighborhood ham radio guy showing up two weeks later having traced the ground reflection his 20 meter broadcasts started getting back to your house once you plugged it all in and then doing whatever the 80 year olds are doing these days that is threatening.

Plugging into the mains ground is perfectly safe. Unless someone else is plugging something directly into the mains ground that they shouldn't, you know, like a bedsheet that is essentially a giant flat panel antenna. When that happens, well, I am sure we can rely on people to do smart things right?

Oh yeah for sure. I am playing in a d20 Star Wars campaign (We are like level 17 so this is gonna be a dumb example) and have something ridiculous like a +16 to things like investigation/perception. I cannot imagine how difficult it would be to storytell failures if my character didn't have flaws.

I agree with this so much.
I also think that their skill shouldn't matter so much for the degree of success compared to the die roll. Only to the general pass/fail. The artistic storytelling belongs to the Storyteller and the die. If all we wanted was pass/fail we'd play RPS.

But the thing that undermines Christian beliefs the best is Christians themself.

This is 12 jobs in one...
November 12, 2025 at 4:56 AM
Oof that. That's an "in just gonna take a break from this for like 6 months"kind of event.
November 12, 2025 at 1:39 AM
It is so "Highest profits ever" messaging after "there isn't enough budget for raises" stories.
November 12, 2025 at 1:37 AM
OK they DID specify a beer limit of 2-3 though, and like what curling club does that?

They want us to revolt as a reason to excuse a coup. They think they have enough ducks in a row to maintain a semblance of power through said revolt and come out of their bunkers on top. Somehow they don't remember how long they were able to shelter in place during covid.

I dunno. I like to celebrate my friends Tuesdays, can't have Friday without Tuesday.

they gotta click bait somehow

I would rather keep every single receipt for medical expenses I have for the year and itemize them all individually by hand than ever put money in an FSA ever again.
November 9, 2025 at 10:34 PM
The use it or lose it of FSA plans makes this idea the most obvious grift yet. Especially with the tremendous restrictions on FSA money.

I have wondered about doing that, all underarm hair does for me is stink and I'm not a fan of that. So sounds like a positive experience overall then?
November 9, 2025 at 5:16 PM
Just imagine what the world could be if they were working on putting out a 5 year mortgage.
November 9, 2025 at 3:30 PM
I'm amazed that the internet went with "fedora man" when I would have gone with Dapper Dan. Like you can just tell he doesn't want no fop.

Does this imply the existence of platybussy?
