Ok I now like one (1) thing about New York City! Y’all still put your trash on the sidewalk, though…grow up.

I’ve reached a point where I don’ t actually want a job that brings me fulfillment; I want a job that brings me money and that I can completely and utterly ignore when not physically present at said job.

Y’all care way too much about (boring) sports

Learning how to file something in a court where you never file anything is NOT IT

The problem for the Justice Kagans of the world, who see a case like Chiles as presenting interesting and nuanced speech issues, is that you cannot have a reasonable argument about those issues with people who are as disdainful of sexual and gender minorities as Sam Alito and Amy Barrett.

I think it’s finally time for me to delete social media because I’m all out of non-actionable things to say about this administration and its supporters.

Maybe allowing law professors to engage with each other on social media was a bad thing

This might be a dumb question, and it might backfire anyway, but why don’t the liberal justices stop referring applications to the full court when they have the choice?
BREAKING: SCOTUS (again) allows Sec. Noem to proceed with ending Temporary Protect Status for more than 600,000 Venezuelans, over the objection of the three Democratic appointees.

Got to argue in the historic Fifth District of the Illinois Appellate Court today. Abraham Lincoln once argued here when it was one of the Illinois Supreme Court’s courthouses! #AppellatePlaces

Lol yeah, as if I’m actually going to be able to focus on oral argument prep while the Temu Gestapo runs around Chicago

Bruen is a monstrosity, but accepting it as the law, Clarence Thomas is the only judge in the country to faithfully and correctly apply it.
8th Cir. holds that it does not violate the Second Amendment for state to offer no mechanism for restoration of rights of a forcible felon because the colonial-era penalty for these crimes was death.

Every state employee travel form should have a box to check that’s just “willing to accept absolute bare minimum reimbursements just please for the love of god let me travel how I want and stay where I want.”

Yeah James Dobson may have poisoned an entire generation of evangelical theology so, like, bye diva! But real ones know this slapped:

The Cracker Barrel is woke thing is hilarious to me personally because when I worked at one in college…in Waco, Texas…my coworkers there were the only ones who made me feel safe to be an out queer kid. And I was in the marching band fraternity.

Has anyone else noticed a pervasive drop in the use of the infinitive “to be”? I just heard someone say their deck “needs repaired” instead of “needs to be repaired.” I’ve heard this so often lately and it fills me with incandescent rage.

Wait you people are out here actually answering your phones? Couldn't be me.
I have learned that Gen Z expects the person calling to say "hello" first, instead of the person answering; upending a century of phone norms. You know what? fine, I say. Phone calls aren't what they used to be anyway www.businessinsider.com/gen-z-phone-...
Gen Z doesn't say 'hello' when answering the phone. I'm concerned.
Gen Z is making up its own etiquette rules when it comes to answering the phone. Some of them aren't saying "hello." They want you to first.

Gotta love filing early. Just had a filing bounced for technical reasons which means I got to resubmit after correcting the post-filing typo that I had noticed!

I know that a certain SCOTUS is busy dismantling democracy today, but the Illinois Supreme Court also took its first substantive swing at Bruen and whiffed by treating footnote 9 as a holding that all purportedly shall-issue licensing schemes satisfy the Second Amendment, no analysis required.
