My IG feed is basically people making food. I’ve made few recipes this fall and each one has been fantastic. Made one this week that was a two day process: tons of greens, chicken, homemade chicken stock. I threw roasted poblano in. Was very proud of it. My kid told me it’s called SWAMP SOUP.

Kalamazoo showed out today. Didn’t take no pics (felt weird to do so), but powerhouse show of force. Many, many older folks, which I loved to see. Best shirt I saw all day: ICE CAN GARGLE MY BALLS. Dude seemed pretty serious about it, too.

This is the D'Angelo performance that I've never forgotten. This song was already a huge hit but the way he took it from contemporary R&B to church revival illustrated how connected those idioms are. A revelation for those who didn't know, and an affirmation for those who did.
