I'm in a weird unique position wherein I had just gotten into Half-Life about 2 months before the first HLVRAI dropped. I was the one that then introduced HLVRAI to my friend group. It was just me and one other artist in the tumblr tag drawing fanart for it. I saw the fall in real time as it blew up

We're gonna be normal this time around, right? We're not gonna cross-tag and derail hl2 posts and re-awaken fandom discourse older than us and throw around loaded words as accusations with no basis, right? We're not gonna harass crew or bully people or be super fucking racist this time, RIGHT?
